Robin Knight, DVM Diplomate ACVIM

 

 

Dr. Knight is an animal lover who was raised around ranch horses and working horses in the cowboy town of Laramie, Wyoming.  She traveled South for college to Colorado State University.  At CSU she earned her Bachelor of Science degree  in 1996 and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2001, graduating Summa Cum Laude.  She served a one year internship at Pioneer Equine Hospital in Oakdale, California before completing a three year medicine residency at Texas A&M University from August, 2002 to July, 2005.  Through this residency Dr. Knight became board certified in large animal internal medicine through the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine.  Joining Idaho Equine Hospital in August 2005 she practices as a specialist in Internal Medicine with a professional interest in critical care, neonatal care, respiratory disease and geriatric horse management.    Dr. Knight is a member of the American Association of Equine Practitioners and the Treasure Valley Equine Association.  Married to equine veterinarian Pete Knox, she stays fit through telemark skiing and actively competing in long distance running and cross country events.
